Oh... Another story; Some years ago, Feroze brought me to Brasso for some birding and hiking. We stayed overnight with Javed, who, at that time, was living in the Caretaker's House for the Cocoa Palace. Feroze and Javed slept upstairs, and Javed gave me a space in the basement. After I had settled in, Javed told me not to walk in that room in the dark, without using a flashlight. Why? I asked him. He just had a large female Mapepire Balsain (Fer de Lance) give birth to a big clutch of babies on the floor in that room last week. He was not sure if they were still around in there. If so, he said, "They won't bother you, unless you step on one." "Thanks a lot, Javed" I said. And I slept there, but ever so un-soundly. I miss Javed.
