I only met Javed a couple times, but he reminded me so much of his father who I know from the T&T Naturalist Club. He had the same gentleness and quiet personality, that you could tell held a wealth of information particularly on the natural world. It is so sad to be here writing this post for a young man taken in his prime, who had so much more to give to society. I recall watching a video interviewing Javed and his parents after winning a national cocoa award for their Omarbeans cocoa, and how passionate he was about organic farming and their estate. I also heard from several of his closer friends from Brasso who I spoke to regularly about how he was teaching them how to be comfortable with what most people consider scary situations like mapepires in the house, so I could tell he was a naturalist through and through like his dad. Nothing can bring him back but I only hope over time his family can find a way to deal with his absence, and find some closure. My sincere condolences to Feroze and his family in this time.
